Richard E. Sherry, 54

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Richard Edward Sherry, 54, of Apopka, Fla., died Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Fla.



He was born in North Adams, Mass., on October 1, 1963, son of the late James Patrick Sherry and the late Nancy Anne (Bullett) Sherry Brown. He attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School and graduated from Berkshire Community College.



Rick was last employed as the proprietor of Mohawk Cleaning in Apopka. Previously, he had been a manager of a Dominoes Pizza shop. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Apopka. Richard enjoyed karaoke and also worked as a karaoke DJ.



Survivors include three daughters, Tanya Stone of Pelham, Mass., and Summer Sherry and Fallon Sherry, both of Apopka, Fla.; three grandchildren, Annabelle, Mackenzie and Brooke; two sisters, Stephanie Giebner of Ludlow, Mass., and Jamie O'Dell of Lee, Mass.; his stepmother, Diana Sherry of Longwood, Fla.; two aunts, including Dayle Judge of Rhode Island and Jennifer Bullett Ramsey of Orlando, Fla.; a step-aunt, Marlene Miller of North Adams; a stepsister, Debra Murrelle of Apopka, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Jeffrey Popielarczyk of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Scott Popielarczyk of Huntersville, N.C.; and nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved friend, Wendy Huttle of North Adams.  



He was also predeceased by his stepfather, James Brown; and his aunt, Ann Sherry.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Richard Sherry will be celebrated Saturday,  September 29, 2018, at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.  



Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass., are Friday, September 28, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.

My heartfelt condolences to Ricks children and family..It was a honor to have shared love with rick during our marriage and thru the years to follow as friends.even days before his passing he was trying to make someone else smile n feel good..sending love and comfort during this difficult times keep him in ur heart always as I have and will..
