NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Daniel Richard Perreault, 66, of North Adams died Monday morning, August 27, 2018, at his home.

He was born in North Adams on October 6, 1951, a son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Scrivens) Perreault. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from C.H. McCann Technical-Vocational High School in 1971. Dan also served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Dan last worked in the Buildings and Grounds department at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown for several years. Earlier, he had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for many years.

Dan was a former member of the Northern Berkshire Vocational Regional School Committee, and while serving there, was appointed to serve on the Massachusetts Association of School Committees Federal Relations Network.

He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams and was a former member of the North Adams Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, and had coached church league basketball for several years. Dan had also been a friend of Bill W. for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce M. Hartwell; three daughters, Melissa Perreault of North Adams, and Rebecca Perreault and Amanda Perreault, both of Pittsfield; one son, Patrick O’Brien of Baldwinsville, Mass.; one brother, Richard “Skip” Perreault of Adams; an uncle, Raymond Perrault of Cheshire; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his close friends John and Christina Zustra, Mark Thompson and Wayne Miller; and several cousins.

Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 8 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Church, North Adams, celebrated by Rev. Dariusz Wudarski, Pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
