Bruce B. Tatro, 66

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Bruce Bradley Tatro, 66, of North Adams, Mass., died Monday, August 6, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with lung disease.



He was born in Stamford, Vt., on November 17, 1951, son of Ralph and Pearl (Benoit) Tatro. He attended schools in Stamford and the Drury High School. Bruce worked in construction for his entire life beginning with Gordon, Sutton and Smith.  He then worked with his son at Tatro Contracting for many years.



He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Bruce enjoyed hunting, gardening and bird watching and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.



His wife was Susan Therese (Lloyd) Tatro, who died on August 9, 2012.  They were married on September 20, 1986.



Survivors include two sons, Nathan R. Tatro and his wife, Jessica, of Dalton, Mass., and Trevor B. Tatro of Stamford, Vt.; three stepchildren, Robert Lincoln and his wife, Rebecca, of North Adams, Lisa Lincoln of North Adams and Melissa Lincoln and her partner, John Meyette of Adams; nine grandchildren, including Bradley Tatro, Dalton Tatro, Madison Tatro, Macey Tatro, Whitney Tatro, Kaileigh Boucher, Rosalyn Lincoln, Josh Lincoln and Peyton Susan Meyette; one sister, Bonnie Volpi of Adams; two brothers, Roger Tatro of New York and Richard Tatro of Lanesborough; and nieces and nephews.



His brother, Ernest Tatro is deceased.



Funeral notice: All family and friends are invited to graveside services for Bruce Tatro on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  



Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.

I'll always remember Bruce building my parents log cabin. He was a very talented carpenter. I was 13/14 and enjoyed watching him and his crew work. To his family, I am very sorry for their loss. May Bruce Rest In Peace. He will be missed by our family.
