NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Francis Eugene Fredette Sr., 81, of North Adams died on Saturday August 4, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield. 

He was born in North Adams on May 14, 1937, a son of the late Eugene Joseph & Dorothy Lucy (LeSage) Fredette Neathawk. He attended Schools in North Adams and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at General Electric in Pittsfield for many years. 

His wife, Shirley Jean (Hall) Fredette died on August 14, 2015.

Francis leaves his daughter, Christine Cooper of North Adams; three sons, Francis Fredette Jr. of North Adams, Johnny Fredette of Florida and Jim Fredette of Adams; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Jackie Gaffey of North Adams; and a brother, Paul Fredette of Pittsfield.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Lee Whitney, who died July 14, 2016.
