NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Kafa Rose (Simon) Pause, 91, of North Adams died Saturday June 23, 2018.
She was born in North Adams on November 10, 1926, a daughter of the late Salem and Mabel (Williams) Simon. She attended schools in North Adams and was employed for several years the Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
She was a devoted and loving homemaker. Kafa was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
Her husband William Robert Pause, whom she married November 15, 1947, died June 12, 2010.
Survivors include her three loving sons, Gary Pause and his wife Mary of Leesburg, Fla., Alan Pause and his wife Inger of Cheshire, Mass., and Wayne Pause and his wife Lynne of North Adams, Mass.; five grandchildren, Seth, MacKenzie, Jaye, Eric and Jesse Pause; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Herbert of Pittsfield and Lois Shadyac of Vienna, Va.; and two brothers, George Simon of North Adams and Robert Simon of Manassas, Va.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Simon and Nellie Ferris; and three brothers Marvin Simon, Frederick Simon and Simon Simon.
Funeral notice: Graveside services will take place Friday, June 29, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, Mass. Memorial donations are suggested for the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
