Doris B. Andreatta, 87

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Doris Barbara (Walker) Andreatta, 87, of North Adams, Mass., died Friday June 15, 2018, at Williamstown Commons.



She was born in North Adams, Mass., on May 21, 1931, daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Thompson) Walker. She attended local schools including Drury High School. Doris was last employed by Storey Communications. Before that, she worked in the deli at the Price Chopper in North Adams for 27 years and also worked at Sprague Electric Co.



Doris was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams and was a member of the Jollee Circle. She enjoyed crafts and bowling and was a Boston Red Sox baseball fan.



She was the widow of Bruno Andreatta, who died April 29, 1988. They were married on October 7, 1950.



Survivors include her son, Wayne F. Andreatta and his partner, Sheri Myers, of North Adams, with whom she made her home; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  



She was predeceased by one brother and two sisters, including Phyllis Stone, Alice Saunders and Clarence Walker.



Funeral notice: The funeral for Doris Andreatta will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  



Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass., are Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.

I worked with Doris for many years at the deli, she could work rings around all of us.She was one of the most dependable people I ever knew and I never heard a bad word from her mouth.She will have a special place in heaven. Wayne she loved you very much I am so sorry for your loss.
