NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Katherine Ellen (Collins) Allard, 94, of North Adams, Mass., died Monday, June 11, 2018, at her home.



She was born in North Adams, Mass., on July 26, 1923, daughter of Daniel Lawrence and Mary Ellen (Crockwell) Collins. She attended local schools. Katherine was first employed at Berkshire Fine Spinning and then at Sprague Electric Co. She was last employed as a pharmacy technician at North Adams Regional Hospital for 17 years until her retirement in 1988.



Katherine was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of the Sprague Retirees and the Jollee Circle.



She was the widow of Joseph Armand Allard, who died on February 15, 1984. They were married on June 26, 1943.



Survivors include one daughter, Sandra J. Brooks and her companion, Dennis Farinon, of North Adams; one son, Joseph A. Allard Jr. of North Adams; three grandchildren, including Raymond MacWhinnie and his wife, Liz, Mark Brooks and his wife, Katherine, and Shannon Brooks; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Collins.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Katherine Allard will be celebrated Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
