NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth May (Keith) Gould, 78, of North Adams, Mass., died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at North Adams Commons.
She was born in St. Albans, Vt., on May 21, 1939, a daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Revette) Keith. Elizabeth attended local schools in northern Vermont before relocating to the Berkshires. In her younger years, she was employed first at the former North Adams Regional Hospital and then later at Sprague Electric.
She went on to raise and care for her family, and was a devoted mother. Her greatest joys where raising her children, cooking extraordinary meals for loved-ones, but especially baking pies with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Gould was the widow of Verne Raoul "Bud" Gould Jr., whom she married on July 24, 1965. He died on March 18, 2011.
Survivors include her daughter, Traci Gould of North Adams; sons Robert Lantz of Keene, N.H., and Todd Gould of Lanesboro, Mass.; grandchildren Elizabeth Wall and Logan Gould; brothers James, Ira and John Keith; as well as sisters Joanne and Vivian Keith.
Funeral notice: At Mrs. Gould's request there will be no services. Burial will take place in the family plot at a later date.
