Lucille Sullivan, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lucille (Barrett) Sullivan, 80, of North Adams, Mass., died on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at her home. 



She was born in Warrensburg, N.Y., on September 16, 1937 a daughter of the late Melvin and Alta (Hayes) Barrett. Lucille graduated from Adams High School with the class of 1955. In her younger years she was employed at Empire Supermarket in Pittsfield, before moving to Connecticut after she got married. She was later employed at Price Chopper in North Adams, where she worked as an office clerk. Lucille loved spending time with her family, puzzles, crosswords, and lottery tickets.



Lucille was the widow of Patrick Michael Sullivan, whom she married on November 6, 1999. He died on December 14, 2015. 



Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Palladino, and Cheryl Downing; son Allen Lamson; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother Donald Barrett of North Carolina; sisters Geraldine Hedrick of North Carolina and Arlene Pero of Georgia; as well as longtime family friend Dave McKay. 



She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Wade, who died in 1997; her sister Shirley Hall; her brother Robert Barrett; as well as by the father of her three children, Asa Lamson. 



Special thanks to the staff at HospiceCare in the Berkshires for the loving care they gave to Lucille.



Funeral notice: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lucille Sullivan will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. 



Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 4 to 7p.m. and on Friday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, or donor's choice.

Cheryl, So sorry to hear of Mom's passing. She was a great person and I will miss running into her and chatting mostly about you and your family. She will be missed.
