Robert C. Knopp, 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Charles Knopp, 89, of North Adams died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Sweet Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown. 



He was born in Philadelphia on May 16, 1928, a son of the late Merton and Edna (Turner) Knopp. He attended school in Philadelphia. Mr. Knopp was employed as a machinist for several companies in the area and was last employed at the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield. 



Robert was an accomplished organist and pianist and played for the United Methodist Church of Cheshire and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pittsfield. He was also the caretaker for Proprietors Field in Williamstown for several years. 



He was predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen Ellen (O'Bryan) Knopp; and his second wife, Mary Lou (Dean) Arnold-Knopp. 



Survivors include two sons, Shawn Knopp (Sidney) and Dwight Knopp (Michelle), both of Belleville, Ill.; daughters Sharyn Barnes of Lumberton, N.C., Colleen Clairmont of Little River, S.C., and Holly Revolledo (Augusto) of Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.



Funeral notice: At his request there will be no funeral services.
