NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Mark E. Ogert, 51, of North Adams, died on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in North Adams on December 16, 1966, son of Sandra (Maynard) Singer and the late Sidney Ogert. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Mark was a certified welder working for Lenco Industries in Pittsfield. Earlier he had worked for Bennington Iron Works for 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.

Besides his mother of North Adams, he is survived by his fiancé, Jodi O’Dell with whom he made his home; one daughter, Chelsey Ogert of North Adams; one stepson, Cody O’Dell, and a stepdaughter, Kendra O’Dell, both of North Adams; three sisters, Robin Estrada of Michigan, Wendy Campbell of Williamstown and Sheila Ogert of Adams; one half brother, Wayne Russell of Cambridge, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Sadie, Jeremy, Karson and Raelynn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral notice: As per Mark’s wishes there are no funeral services or calling hours. A memorial gathering will be held at Mark and Jodi’s home at 246 Houghton St., North Adams, on Sunday, January 14, 2018, from 1 to 5 p.m. Friends and family are all invited. The Paciorek Funeral Home in Adams is in charge of the arrangements.
