NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Ann (Carsno) Copenhaver, 63, of North Adams died on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center.



She was born in North Adams on September 8, 1954, a daughter of the late Harold "Babe" Jr. and Joan (Osborn) Carsno. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.



Barbara operated a child day care out of her home for Child Care of the Berkshires. She also enjoyed gardening, ceramics and fishing.



Barbara leaves her husband, Darryl Shawn Copenhaver; her two sons, Jody Roy of North Adams and Justin Roy of Boston; a brother, Dennis Carsno and his wife Christine of Billerica, Mass.; a sister, Cindy Burdick and her husband James of North Adams; and many nieces and nephews.



Barbara was predeceased by a brother, Steven C. Carsno, in 1987; and a sister, Sandra (Carsno) Cramer in 2007.



Funeral notice: A private celebration of Barbara's life will be held for family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.
