NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Theresa (Boudreau) Genesi, 89, formerly of North Adams, Mass., died Sunday, August 27, 2017, in Orlando, Fla.



She was born in North Adams, Mass., on July 11, 1928, daughter of Peter and Melvina (LaForest) Boudreau. She attended local schools.



Theresa was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her younger years, she worked at JJ Newberry and Cornish Wire Co. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and St. Anthony of Padua Church. Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.



Survivors include her husband, Paul Henry Genesi, whom she married on April 30, 1949; one son, Richard H. Genesi of Orlando, Fla., and daughter-in-law Caroline P. Genesi, with whom she made her home; three grandsons, Brandon, Bryce and Brett; three great-grandchildren, Lexi, Max and Cadi; and several nieces and nephews.  



She was predeceased by her son, Robert Paul Genesi; four brothers, Henry, Leonard, Leo and Lawrence; and two sisters, Lucy and Annette.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Theresa Genesi will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.



Calling hours are Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations may be made to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation in care of the funeral home.
