NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Beatrice Rose (Perras) Fortini, 89, of North Adams, Mass., died Monday July 24, 2017 at her home.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on April 8, 1928, daughter of the late Albert and Roseann (LaBonte) Perras. She attended local schools.
Beatrice was last employed at Waverly Fabrics in Adams and also worked at Sprague Electric Co. In her younger years, she worked at the Hoosac Cotton Mill. She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a Boy Scout Leader. She enjoyed Bingo, trips to the casino, sewing and working on puzzles.
She was the widow of Frank David Fortini, who died on March 11, 1988. They were married on August 10, 1957.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosemarie DiLego and her husband Michael of Pittsfield, Lynn A. Hayden and her husband Robert of North Adams and Theresa Fortini of Chicopee; two sons, Frank D. Fortini Jr. and his fiancée, Lynn McAuliffe, of Springfield, Mass., and Dennis C. Fortini and his wife Kimberly of Cheshire; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Perras of Maine and Leona Randall of Texas; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Beatrice Fortini will be Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Indian School in care of the funeral home.
