NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Linda Ann Ziter, 57, of Providence, R.I., and a former resident of North Adams, died peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the home of her sister, Nancy Ziter.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on September 25, 1959, daughter of Louis R. Ziter and the late Joan Marie (Bissaillon) Ziter. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1977. Linda graduated from Becker Junior College in 1979 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in retail from Johnson and Wales University in 1981.
Linda worked as the receptionist at The Claflin Company for 20 years and previously worked in the music industry. She loved music and exploring the cities of Boston and Providence, R.I. Linda had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met.
Survivors include her father, Louis R. Ziter of North Adams; one sister, Nancy M. Ziter of North Adams; one brother, Alan R. Ziter of San Diego, Calif.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral notice: The prayer service for Linda Ziter will be Monday, June 12, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roger Williams Zoo or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
