NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Bertha Arlene (Godfrey) Perras, 87, of 76 Beaver St., North Adams, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at her home.
She was born in North Adams on September 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Law) Godfrey. She attended schools in North Adams. She was employed at Hunter Outdoor Products and last at Cascade School Supplies. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary in North Adams.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ronald E. Perras Sr., whom she married October 28, 1950; one daughter, Susan Coviello and her husband Mark of Adams; two sons, Timothy Perras of North Adams and Bruce Perras and his wife Eva of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren Jason Lescarbeau of Henderson, Nev., and Tasha Perras, Jennifer Perras, Joshua Perras, Neisa Lescarbeau, Travis Perras and Ronald Perras III; one sister, Shirley Jean Lee of North Adams; and her bullmastiff dog and companion Lady.
She was predeceased by two sons, Ronald Perras Jr., who died in 2003, and Robert Perras, who died in 1964; and two sisters, Dolores Kennedy and Mabel Benoit.
Funeral notice: Funeral services will take place Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will be private.
Calling hours are Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
