Richard Cwalinski, 54

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Richard "Richie" Mark Cwalinski, 54, of North Adams died on Monday, May 29, 2017, at his home. 



He was born in Adams on January 5, 1963, a son of Zygmund and Loretta (Bellows) Cwalinski. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School. 



Mr. Cwalinski was a self-employed contractor having owned and operated R. Cwalinski Contracting. He had also worked for the former Krutiak Construction Co., Adams. 



He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. He was a highly talented wood craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years and most recently sponsored many area softball leagues and motocross events. 



Besides his parents of Adams, he is survived by his daughter, Mariah Cwalinski and her partner Kayla Paulin of North Adams; one sister, Kathleen Luczynski and her husband Richard of Savoy; two brothers, Paul Cwalinski and his wife Colleen of Adams and David Cwalinski of Savoy; three nephews, Justin and Jason Cwalinski and Justin Schneider; four nieces, Danielle Luczynski, Jessica and Jennifer Cwalinski and Ashley Schneider; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Heidi and Jim Miller and Tina and Joe Schneider. He is also survived by many special friends, including, Mike and Dave Wall, Bill Boesse, Scott Kennedy and Justin Wilk. He also leaves his dogs Abby and Bubba. 



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.  Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. 



There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus Church Memorial Fund through the Parish of St. John Paul II, P.O. Box 231, Adams, MA 01220. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paciorek Funeral Home.
