Kathryn Naughton, 94

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Kathryn (Bradshaw) Naughton, 94, of North Adams, Mass., died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown, Mass. 



She was born in Adams, Mass., on March 3, 1923, a daughter to the late James and Mary (Pecor) Bradshaw. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from Adams Memorial High School, with the class of 1941. She then attended Bryant College in Rhode Island graduating in 1942 with a Business Degree. She was last employed at Sprague Electric Co. in the filter division and retired in 1981. She and her husband spent many years in Florida following retirement.



Kathryn was a communicant of the former St. Francis Church in North Adams. She was the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 125 in North Adams. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several card clubs while in Florida.



Kathryn married her husband, Francis Matthew Naughton, on April 23, 1946 in St. Francis Church. Mr. Naughton died on June 24, 2000. 



Survivors include her sons, Michael Francis Naughton and his wife Beverly of Cheshire, James Allen Naughton and his wife Catherine of Reading, Mass., and Jeffrey Matthew Naughton and his wife Christine of North Adams; daughter-in-law Sandra Shields; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. 



She was predeceased by a son, Richard David Naughton; and two sisters, M. Elizabeth D’Arcangelo and Helen Bradshaw. 



The Naughton family would like to thank the staff at Williamstown Common for the compassionate and loving care they provided to Kathryn.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Kathryn Naughton will be held on Friday April 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. 



Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested for the Meals on Wheels Program through Elder Services of Berkshire County through the funeral home.
