Zita Pedrin, 100

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Zita (DelPonte) Pedrin, 100, of Nashua, N.H., and formerly of North Adams, went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 16, 2017, at the Kindred/Greenbriar Nursing Home in Nashua. 



She was born on January 2, 1917, in North Adams a daughter of the late Ettore and Catherine (Filippi) DelPonte. 



She attended schools in Williamstown and North Adams. She was employed at Sprague Electric for 45 years as a secretary and served as the Union Steward for many years. While residing in the Berkshires, she was a member of the Williamstown Community Bible Church. 



Zita enjoyed cooking and baking and was devoted to her granddaughter, Katie.



Zita was the widow of Victor Pedrin, who died on December 22, 1959. She leaves her son Gary and his wife Pamela (Leja) Pedrin of Nashua, N.H.; one granddaughter, Katie L. Pedrin of Nashua, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. 



She was predeceased by three sisters, Inez, Olga, and Lillia; as well as her brother Arthur “Red” DelPonte.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Zita Pedrin will be on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Williamstown Community Bible Church in Williamstown. A calling hour will held on Friday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. 



Private burial will take place later in the spring in the Leavitt Cemetery in Charlemont, Mass. The family requests the omission of flowers, and instead requests that contributions be made to the Katie L. Pedrin Trust in care of Gary Pedrin, 6 Jolori Lane, Nashua, NH 03062. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.

So sorry for your loss, Zita was a wonderful person and a good friend to my mother. Also Pam, so sorry for you and your family. My prayers are with all of you.
