Lorraine O. Wilson, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lorraine Olive (Vallieres) Wilson, 84, of North Adams died on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center.



She was born in North Adams on October 19, 1932, a daughter of the late Harvey and Doris (O’Brien) Vallieres.



She attended Notre Dame School in North Adams. She worked at Sprague Electric and was last employed at Photech in Williamstown, Mass., where she worked for many years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in North Adams.



She leaves a daughter, Sheila Cooke and her husband Robert of Clarksburg, Mass.; a son, Charles D. Wilson Jr. and his companion, Tara Cain, also of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Shealee, Ian and Casey Cooke; four great-grandchildren, Marlee, Maddox, Reid and Claire; a brother, Harvey Vallieres of Whitesville, N.Y.; her former husband, Charles D. Wilson Sr. of North Adams; as well as nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by a brother and a sister, who both died in infancy.



Funeral notice: A graveside service to celebrate the life of Lorraine Wilson will be held in Southview Cemetery on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory can be made directly to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38101; or to PopCares Inc., PO Box 482, Williamstown, MA 01267. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.

Sheila, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember many years ago that your Mom made the best red velvet cake ever. Your Dad would bring me a piece of it to work every time she made it.

We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I worked with her many years ago at General Photo/Photech. She was a kind and caring woman and will be truly missed. Is was always kinda funny when we would say hello people would look at us her saying Hi Lorraine and myself saying Hi Lorraine..If you need anything please call.
