CALF CUDDLING
Pittsfield, 11 a.m.
Hancock Shaker Villages introduces a new program, Calf Cuddling, on Sundays. Sixty-minute sessions for up to two people are $100. Registration is required online or by calling 413-443-0188. Learn about the farm at Hancock Shaker Village and the sensitive and intuitive nature of cows while petting, brushing and walking the village’s newest additions. This wellness trend is the village’s most recent addition to animal-centric holistic health programs, such as goat yoga. Sessions are recommended for those ages 5 and older. The weekly program continues through Nov. 10.

'KIDLEIDOSCOPE'
North Adams, 11 a.m.-noon

Natural Bridge State Park hosts Kidleidoscope on Fridays, geared for children 2-5, but all ages welcome. The event include a guided lesson or story, followed by a game or craft featuring a different nature topic each week. All programs are free; a parking fee of $5 for Massachusetts plates and $10 for non-Massachusetts plates applies.

Learn and play as our Park Intepreter guides your child through a short nature-themed lesson followed by a game of craft. This is a great program to attend before enjoying lunch in one of our picnic areas. Geared for ages 2-5, but all ages are welcome. The parking fee is WAIVED for this event.

GOAT YOGA
Pittsfield, 10 a.m.
Goat yoga classes will be held at Hancock Shaker Village, led by certified yoga instructor Alison Walter. Tickets are $25 and include admission to Hancock Shaker Village. Register online or call 413-443-0188. Beginners are welcome; bring a mat or a towel. Classes take place in a fenced-in pasture adjacent to the Round Stone Barn. About 15 goats roam the pasture during the class. Goat yoga classes are ideal for adults and for responsible children ages 6 and up. The class is intended to be a meditative experience. Children are welcome to visit the baby animals in the Round Stone Barn’s Dairy Ell after the class.

45 TH ADAMS AGRICULTURAL FAIR
Adams, 6 to 10 p.m.
Friday August 2nd kicks off the 45th annual Adams Agricultural Fair for 2019! Opening ceremony at 6 PM with flag raising, cake and beverage for all. Tonight features vehicles if all kinds to look at with the children’s tractor pedal pull sponsored by Maple Grove Equipment. At 7 the Robbins Zust puppets will tell a Russian folk tale for all ages At dusk a family movie under the pavillion ends the evening. Vendors, food, exhibits and fun for everyone.

45 TH ADAMS AGRICULTURAL FAIR
Adams, 8 AM to 10 PM
45th Adams Agricultural Fair starts early with the adult and youth sheep and cattle judging. 11 is the Aggie Fair Prince and Princess event selecting who will reign over the fair and ride in the Fall Foliage Fair. The popular horse pull starts at 11 in the pulling arena with bleachers available or bring your own chairs. Zust puppeteers then entertain with a fun show. Followed by Bob Ricardo and his Birds of prey with his live birds. Big  a la Berry show with songs and fun at 12:30. 2:00 is the action packed Double M Rodeo with bucking horses and barrel racing plus much more. At 6 the puppets are back. Followed by music under the pavillion. Vendors galore,good fun, and a jam packed day for all ages.
