WOMEN’S MARCH SOLIDARITY EVENT
Pittsfield, 1-4 p.m.
Indivisible Pittsfield will host a "March into Action" Resource Fair and Community Forum at The Colonial Theatre, 111 South St. On the anniversary of the first Women’s March and in solidarity with the Women’s March 2018, Indivisible Pittsfield invites the public to the event, which will feature a resource fair with more than 20 groups participating followed by brief spoken word performances, leading into a round-table discussion of "where do we go from here in the Berkshires," featuring leaders of various social justice efforts and related organizations in the region.

SOUTH COUNTY RESOURCE FAIR
Great Barrington, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
In partnership with CHP Family Services and Berkshire South Regional Community Center, Berkshire United Way is hosting a resource fair for providers of education, health and financial stability services at Berkshire South Regional Community Center, 15 Crissey Road. The event is being held to improve resource coordination and foster relationships among agencies to advance the support network available to families in Berkshire County. Resource binders and complimentary breakfast provided for participants, who will also be entered into a door prize drawing. PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING WORKSHOP
Great Barrington, 10 a.m.-noon
Berkshire Community College, in collaboration with the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires, is offering a workshop on Peer-to-Peer Fundraising at Berkshire Community College’s South County Center on 343 Main St. Participants will learn how to set up a Facebook page for on-site fundraising and delve into the best practices for creating a Peer-to-Peer Campaign, including deciding on what is the most compelling story to tell and what visual medium to use. Tips will be offered on how to integrate your Peer-to-Peer Campaign with Facebook Live, your nonprofit’s other online platforms and email. The workshop will be taught by Mary McGurn, a photographer and consultant who focuses on telling visual stories for social media and other digital applications. The cost of the workshop is $35. BEGINNING BEEKEEPING COURSE

The Bennington County Beekeepers Club will again offer a free (donations welcomed) beginner course
for new beekeepers. Learn about the life of honey bees, the skills and equipment needed to care for them and the many challenges they face. SOUP LUNCHEON

North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will host a free soup luncheon. Those wishing to attend are asked to reserve a seat by calling Kira Breard at 413-662-4403 by Jan. 22. Norman Rockwell Museum will present :Distant Lands: Literary Fiction in the Classroom: a symposium for educators to learn about creative approaches to bringing literary fiction into the classroom for elementary and middle school students during this day of lectures, workshops, and readings. Award-winning illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi and Newbery Honor author Holly Black will discuss their collaboration on the popular book series "The Spiderwick Chronicles." HOW TO TALK SO KIDS WILL LISTEN AND LISTEN SO KIDS WILL TALK

How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk. A Free 4 Week Series for Parents. Thursdays, February 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at The Family Center, 210 State Street, North Adams. This series, for parents of 1-8 year olds, offers practical, easy to implement strategies that have been proven effective in everyday parenting. Learn simple techniques that really work! Gain your child’s cooperation, set limits and maintain goodwill, use positive discipline, cope with your child’s negative feelings, express your anger without being hurtful, resolve family conflicts peacefully. Each participant will receive a copy of the book How to Talk So Kids will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Faber and Mazlish.  Light refreshments will be served. WINTER FARMERS MARKET
Great Barrington, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Berkshire Grown's last two farmers markets of the season will be held at Monument Valley Middle School, featuring the freshest locally grown and produced foods and gifts, including fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meats, breads, preserved foods, and grilled sausages. Admission is free and SNAP/EBT and HIP accepted at all markets. The first 50 visitors to the market who bring along a first-time shopper will receive $10 to spend at the market. These market bucks help support local food and farms by increasing sales and maybe introducing them to new customers.
