SHADOW DAY @ BART CHARTER PUBLIC SCHOOL
Adams, 8 - 11:30 A.M.

The Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter Public School (BART) will host a “Shadow Day” for students interested observing 6th grade.  Attending a Shadow Day provides students with an opportunity to experience classes alongside current BART students. Pre-registration is required and can be done by calling BART Enrollment Counselor Monique Nottke at 413-743-7311 (ext. 732) or by emailing her at monique.nottke@bartcharter.org. There will be two opportunities for interested students to sit in on Grade 6: from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. or from 12:15 to 3 p.m.  The next enrollment deadline for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year will be Thursday, April 26, at 12 p.m. Applications are available at the school or on the BART website, www.bartcharter.org.

WOODCOCK'S SKY DANCE
Lenox, 7:30-9 p.m.
Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary will host "Woodcock's Sky Dance." Guests will visit our meadows at dusk and listen and watch for the woodcock’s performance on their breeding grounds, just before darkness envelops the sanctuary. Adults are $7; children are free. Register by calling 413-637-0320.

START A GARDEN WORKSHOP

UNO Community Center, 157 River Street, North Adams Come join the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition’s The Family Place for an informational workshop on how to begin your own vegetable/flower garden. Each person will receive a small pack of seedlings of their choice to start. This workshop is FREE for all parents/caregivers. EXPOSION! 2018
Williamstown, 10-noon: Media Panel and noon to 3pm: Open Floor
EXPOsion! 2018  is a premier press conference, public exhibit  and trade conference that highlights the season of arts, entertainment, and performances throughout Southwestern Vermont, Eastern New York, and the Northern Berkshires.  This year, we are adding a panel discussion at 10 am to allow members to discuss the challenges of getting their messages to their following. TALK ON ADULT IMMUNIZATIONS
Lenox, 5-6 p.m.
Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox will host a talk on immunizations. Dr. Thomas Consolati will discuss “Adult Immunizations: What You Need to Know.” The talk will focus on the importance of immunizations and local resources available. VETERAN FLAG PLACEMENT MEETING
, 10 a.m.
The City of Pittsfield and the Berkshire Veterans Coalition will hold a coordination meeting  in the City Council Chambers to welcome volunteers, both existing and new, to discuss this year’s veteran flag placement at the city’s cemeteries. Each year, many veterans, groups, and individuals of all ages assist in the flag placement at Pittsfield’s cemeteries, helping to place over 8,000 flags and markers.  Flag placement for all Pittsfield cemeteries will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 1.
