BERKSHIRE WALDORF HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE
Stockbridge, 7:30 p.m.
Berkshire Waldorf High School is holding an open house at the school, 14 Pine St., on the corner of Pine and Shamrock. The school offers honors-level, college preparatory academics and is also well-integrated into the larger community, including classes and workshops in renowned artists’ studios, the use of local labs and gyms, Shakespeare & Company, field trips to events and museums in the Northeast, and international travel. A student panel will also be part of the program, and guests at the Open House are welcome to ask questions about the students’ high school experience, the work they've done this year, and their plans for the future.

BERKSHIRE COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE
Stockbridge, 9-11 a.m.
Berkshire Country Day School will hold an Open House for parents and caregivers of all grades at the school,  located at 55 Interlaken Road (Route 183). Visiting parents will have the opportunity to chat with current BCD parents, see students in action, tour the 27-acre campus and classroom buildings, meet members of the faculty and administration, and hear more about the school’s compelling curriculum and co-curricular programs that emphasize academics, the arts, and athletics. 'LOOKING AND LUNCHING'
Williamstown, Noon
The Clark Art Institute’s “Looking and Lunching” program, which offers a closer look at an object in the Clark’s collection followed by a half-hour discussion, will be held. The program is free with gallery admission; arrive early to pre-order and purchase your meal or bring your own lunch.During this session, Senior Curator Esther Bell discusses the Clark’s newest acquisition, "Portrait of Achille Deban de Laborde" by the French portraitist Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet (1791–1834). The large oil painting of a young boy dressed in military regalia is a touching memorial to the sitter’s father, Baron Jean-Baptiste Deban de Laborde, who was killed at the battle of Wagram in 1809 when Achille was barely a year old.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Pittsfield, 9 a.m.
Berkshire Community College will hold its  Spring 2018 New Student Orientation in the new BCC Connector building on the Main Campus at 1350 West St. The orientation will help new students acclimate to their spring semester and offer tours of the new classrooms on campus. Walk-ins are welcome.

AUTHOR, CANCER SURVIVOR

Kimball Farms Life Care will host a presentation by cancer survivor and author Emily Rubin, who leads creativity and writing workshops for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers in New York City. Rubin published “The Write Treatment,” an anthology of work by her workshop participants. Her presentation is free and open. Register by calling 413-637-7043.

BEER & CHEESE TASTINGS
Williamstown, 6-7 p.m.
You've heard of pairing wine and cheese, but beer and cheese' Wild Oats will hold a series of beer and cheese tastings; each event will feature different beers and cheeses so come to one or come to all three. The cost is $10, which includes four pairings and a Wild Oats pint glass. Space is limited; register at customer service at the store, 320 Main St.

SUSTAINABLE INVESTING SYMPOSIUM
Williamstown, 10 a.m.
Williams College will host an educational symposium on sustainable investing titled “Breaking the Tradeoff: Profit with Purpose.” Throughout the day, experts and practitioners from a range of industries will share their perspectives on opportunities in sustainable investing and their successes and aspirations in green finance. All talks will take place in Griffin Hall, room 3. They are free and open to the public. Opening remarks start at 10 a.m., followed by talks throughout the day, concluding with "Breaking the Tradeoff: Investing for Profit and Impact" at 4:10 p.m.
