PITTSFIELD MA - Pittsfield West continued its power show by pounding out 19 hits and 18 rums as they went on to beat North Adams 18-8 to move to the finals of the District One Little League Tournament.
Jake Corcoran led the way for Pittsfield with four hits including a home run. He also had five RBI. Brandon Peaslee also had four hits (one being a home run) and four RBI. Brett Murphy and Cam Levardi also homered giving Pittsfiled four for the game. Jake McNeice had three hits and two RBI. Brett Murphy started on the mound and picked up the win.
For North Adams Ethan Sheldon had three doubles and Reece Racette added a double and a single. David Beebe contributed with two doubles and Steven Stodja, Connor Clark, Robbie Pecor and Ryan Dubie each had a hit for North Adams. Ethan Sheldon took the loss.
Pittsfield West will now face Pittsfield South at Springside Field on Friday at 5:30 pm. The "if game" will be Saturday at 4:00 pm if needed.
