McCann, BCC Sign Updated Agreement for Medical ProgramsBy Brian Rhodes, iBerkshires Staff

 NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — McCann Technical School and Berkshire Community College have signed updated articulation agreements for surgical technology, dental assisting and medical assisting.
The agreements, which have existed in some form for nearly three decades, allow course credits in the three McCann programs to transfer between the two organizations. McCann Superintendent James Brosnan, BCC President Ellen Kennedy and BCC Dean of STEM and Allied Health Frank Schickor signed the agreement on Monday.

 ADAMS, Mass. — Democrats running for state offices will be attending a meet and greet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Bounti-Fare Restaurant. Gubernatorial candidate Sonia Chang-Diaz will be present as will attorney general candidate Quentin Palfrey, secretary of the commonwealth candidate Tanisha Sullivan and state Senate candidates Huff Templeton and Paul Mark. The North Adams Democratic City Committee is co-hosting the event with the Williamstown Democratic Town Committee. This is the second candidate forum the two committees have hosted. ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts & Technology (BArT) Charter Public School has announced the students who made the honor roll for the third quarter of the 2021-2022 school year. Students who earned 80 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of Honors. Students who earned 90 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of High Honors. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
