 BOSTON — North Adams' Don DelNegro was doing HIPAA before HIPAA was a thing. The landmark Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 included, famously, a rule for protecting the privacy of patients. Three years earlier, in 1993, DelNegro took over as the head trainer for the Boston Bruins, entering a world where — especially this time of year — privacy is a priority. National Hockey League teams and players are famous for not talking about or revealing injuries during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- MCLA first year attack Nathan Haley has been selected as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Year. Haley led the Trailblazers in scoring and helped guide them through their first full season as a varsity program. The 2022 NAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year is Hunter Olsen of SUNY Canton, and fellow Kangaroo Zack LaFave is the 2022 Senior Scholar Athlete. In addition to major conference awards, 30 student athletes were named to All-Conference Teams, and nine players were selected to the Sportsmanship Team. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
