BENNINGTON, Vt. — The 35th annual Mayfest Arts and Crafts Festival returns to Bennington after a COVID-19 driven two-year hiatus. Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and filled with over 95 vendors offering juried crafts and specialty food on May 28 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public with plenty of free parking downtown. Renee Tessier's new shop offers a mix of new, vintage and repurposed home decor items. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Renee Tessier is hoping to turn what started as a hobby into a second successful business venture. "This is my passion. I love to recreate and repurpose and reuse and I love to make things look beautiful," Tessier said last week as she styled her new space in the Berkshire Emporium. "A lot of people don't see the beauty in something like a dresser or a buffet, or to take a large hutch and make it into two pieces and change things. I love home decorating and decor." City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
