Three Injured in Rear-End Collision on Curran HighwayStaff Reports,

 NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Three people were injured in a rear-end collision that involved four vehicles at about 1 p.m. near entrance of Ocean State Job Lot. The crash is still under investigation but police believe that it was caused when a red Pontiac G5 coupe collided with a gray Dodge Caravan owned by livery service E-Pod, which was pushed into a red Dodge Journey and then into another vehicle. That first car did not incur any significant damage and the driver was able to leave the scene.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The last vestige of St. Francis' Church, its rectory, is being demolished. Crews were at the long-vacant brick structure on Union Street last week removing windows and other materials but halted until their permits are in place. Building Inspector William Meranti said they were beginning to remove materials in preparation of asbestos abatement but "didn't have all their ducks in a row." He confirmed that they were in the process of applying for a demolition permit. The corner property was purchased by Colvest/North Adams LLC of Springfield in 2018 for $1.3 million from the Roman Catholic Diocese of 9 Comments

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Community Health Programs (CHP) was awarded $50,000 from the MassDevelopment Community Health Center Grant Program. MassDevelopment has awarded grants totaling $1,056,010 to 22 community health centers across Massachusetts through its Community Health Center Grant Program. The program offers grants of up to $50,000 each to fund capital improvement projects including construction, renovation, equipment, furniture, technology-related projects, as well as facility needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Sutton School District offered the position of superintendent on Monday night to Kimberly Roberts-Morandi, assistant superintendent in the North Adams Public Schools.
